I would assume that most search engine optimization professionals in Utah are earning somewhere between $60-80K. But that’s all it is, an assumption based on limited factual information. So, let’s all find out what we make, shall we? That way if you’re not making very much relative to other SEO types you can know to ask for a raise, and if you are making a lot, you can find comfort in the fact you’re making more than most, and hopefully the others will soon get raises which will eventually raise the salary ceiling for everyone.

So what I find funny is the people responding to this question. SEO is one of the major advertising portals for business today. “Specialist” – “Account Executives” – “Owners” – “Guru’s” alike…..seriously.
If you are not making $250k a yr at SEO, then you do not know what you are doing. Does the term Search Engine Optimization not imply that you know how to navigate Google? And if you have half of any skills at making sites show up high in organic position, should you not be able to make more than the 28K – 100K – and even 128K mentioned on this page…..
If you are a hobbyist at SEO, you should be making 10K a month at affiliate marketing…atleast. For those so called “SEO guru’s” who are taking on real business owners – with real business needs – STOP working with them and promising results just because you figured how to twitter.

I have been doing SEO for several years and just recently moved to Utah. I am trying to find a job doing SEO with an agency here in Utah. Does anyone have any suggestion about the best way to go about this?
Thanks
