Traditional Media More Credible Than Pay-Per-Click
Nielsen surveyed 26,486 internet users in 47 markets from Europe, Asia Pacific, the Americas and the Middle East and found they trust newspaper ads more than they trust ads in search engines, or pay per click advertising. In response to the question "To What Extent Do You Trust the Following Forms of Advertising?" people gave search engine advertising a rating of 34% vs. 63% for newspaper ads.
